I used the Shadow Block pattern as shared by Donna Jordan of Jordan Fabrics on the You Tube channel. She is a talented person that can create amazing quilts in a matter of minutes. True, there must be a lot of editing going on behind the scenes. If you follow Donna on You Tube, then you know that she makes what seems impossible happen! The Shadow Block pattern uses one layer cake and 1 1/2 yards of background fabric. I used a Northup layer cake and some plain white to produce a showstopper quilt. Also, I’m absolutely sold on her strip patterns. After all, it’s possible to make a very nice quilt with one jelly roll of 42 strips. So, that’s a project I will be working on next.
