Every Quilt Has a Story

Every quilt has to start with some idea or a pattern, sometimes improvised by the quilter. Fabric selection is the “paint” that makes the quilt tell it’s story. The process allows as much time that is needed to cut and prepare the patches that ultimately brings together the blocks that make the quilt. It is a process, it takes time and sometimes, lots of patience.

Recently, I had the pleasure of creating a quilt with my youngest daughter. Julianne has inherited my Mother’s genetic dispositions when creativity strikes. She loves to play with colors, textures and scale. So with her quilt, you can see her bold and captivating patterns and color scheme. I am still in awe of her beautiful and very soft and comforting quilt. The way a quilt wraps and feels around you can often be described as very soothing to the soul.

Vert soft Minky backing makes this quilt cuddle worthy!
